This hospital sucks!! They put a dirty stent in the main artery of my dads heart. They admitted to doing this but still refuse to do anything about it, and to top it off the doctors that did this are still employed at this hospital. Because of the negligence of these doctors my dad can never work again and has to be stuck on welfare, he was upset because he was unable to buy his grandchildren any gifts for Christmas and he can't even see his other grandchildren in California because he is not allowed to fly.
The bad:
My fiance went here and they put a dirty Stent in the LAD artery of his heart. He had an aneurysm on his artery and MERSA all around his heart. He had to have open heart surgery and since then the artery is completely blocked. He only gets 50% of blood to his heart. The doctors admitted what they did, but they left him to live on welfare, he lost everything that he had and will never be able to work again. These people are horrible.
Only complaint is when the ER nurse went to put the IV line in she hit a muscle. I was sore for 2 weeks.
Emergency room visit. The Dr clearly set the unprofessional environment which lacked compassion. Even the receptionist mocked the patients. When the patient that I was with was told that he was being admitted I asked if it was ok for me to leave..... ( did they need anything from me? ) his reply was " I don't care. You are a big girl. " Wow! What happened to "Sure. We have everything we need. He is in good hands"? Phoenixville Hospital, is this how you would want your family treated? Put this doctor in a back room to read reports. Keep him away from people . I wonder what he thinks when he reviews his night. Does he feel good about treating people poorly? Ugh!
All staff was very kind and compassionate they answered any questions I had, or sent the doctor to answer them. My nighttime nurse Susan was the best, she is very compassionate and you can tell she cares.
Primary doctor sent me to ER because I was anemic. Checked in at the desk. Before I could even finish telling the girl at the desk what other symptoms I had, she was in the phone. 5 seconds later there was a nurse and an MA taking me to a room. I had blood work done and EKG and two chest X-rays. Was admitted within an hour of getting there.
The good:
I had 2 separate incidents in the ER for a heart-related issue. In both cases I was treated quickly and professionally. I was admitted in both cases and while being admitted was frustrating and took some time I understood the logistics of getting a room, insurance, etc. The nurses in the cardiac unit were too notch. They were friendly and extremely attentive to my needs. In the 2nd incident I was hospitalized 5 days and despite my discomfort and concern the nurses, private rooms and even the food made the experience much more tolerable
